La Cirereta Herència Altés is a red wine blend of Garnacha (55%) and Syrah (45%) from vineyards at the Herència Altés winery in the Terra Alta DO.
TASTING NOTES
Cherry red color. Bright in the glass. Sweet wine with notes of red and black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, and notes of oak aging. Balance and harmony on the palate, with good concentration and a pleasant texture. It is a fresh and light wine at first, yet very succulent.
PRODUCTION
100% organic grapes, each variety is manually harvested separately. Each variety is vinified individually, following the same guidelines: partial destemming and treading prior to vatting with cold pre-maceration. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts accompanied by daily pigeage.
AGING
Aged in large Austrian oak casks for approximately 6 months for final blending prior to bottling.
PAIRING
Ideal with pasta with sauce and meats.
