Vermouth de Capçanes

Vermouth de Capçanes is a vermouth made with Garnacha Blanca and Macabeo. A vermouth with a wealth of character and bearing the Montsant seal.

TASTING NOTES
Mahogany hues with ruby ​​reddish highlights. The nose exudes this fragrance with aromas of willow blossom and sage. On the palate, we find a generous and full-bodied aroma, with a soft sweetness that perfectly balances the slight bitterness. Toasted caramel, mountain herbs, leather, and dried fruits are the aromas that add even more complexity to this vermouth.

PRODUCTION
Vermouth de Capçanes is made with Garnacha Blanca and Macabeo. The white wine is flavored with herbs such as willow blossom and sage. The wine is then fortified with sugar and alcohol before aging in French oak barrels. Once aging is complete, it is clarified and bottled.

AGING
This vermouth is aged using the Solera method in French oak barrels. The average aging time is over 24 months.

PAIRING
This vermouth is the ideal pairing with a wide range of appetizers: olives, potatoes, nuts, etc. It also makes a great accompaniment to desserts such as cheesecake, crème brûlée, and nougat.

WINERY
Celler Capçanes was founded in 1933 by five families in the Priorat region. As times and needs changed, 50 years later, 80 people from the village were convinced to invest in the winery, thus expanding the project. This winery is made up of a group of people who, working as a team, achieve the best: an excellent wine with the Montsant Designation of Origin.
