Venus is a crianza red wine made with Cariñena and Garnacha from old vines, organically farmed by the La Universal winery.
TASTING NOTES
Intense cherry red color with violet rims. On the nose, it presents balsamic and forest fruit notes. It combines diverse varietal aromas and spicy sensations on a light mint background. The palate is fruity and mineral. It is structured and dense, very fresh, and has very good acidity. It finishes long.
VINIFICATION
Harvest is done manually. All varieties are fermented together, vintage permitting. Whole grapes and some Garnacha stems are fermented with wild yeasts, with light pigeage. Maceration takes place for 30-40 days in wooden vats and open 500-liter barrels.
AGING
Aged in French oak barrels for 20 months.
PAIRING
This wine is ideal for pairing with cured meats, white and cured cheeses, red meats, stews... It's a juicy wine designed to accompany food.
