Merum Priorati Inici is a red wine, Coupage of Grenache (60%), Carignian (15%), Syrah (15%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%).
TASTING NOTE
It's a wine that stands out for being fresh, fruity and balanced in the nose. In the mouth, instead, it's juicy and it has an optimal acidity. You will feel the wild red fruit flavor, such as raspberry and redcurrant, and also some anised flavored notes. The aftertaste is elegant and durable. On glass, it has brilliant tonalities of the picota cherry and gold indescense.
PREPARATION AND AGING
Handmade wine harvest collected in boxes of 20kg. Fermentation/maceration in a controlled temperature and it's saved in stainless steel tanks. After 3 weeks, an horizontal pneumatic pressing is done. Once it is compressed, the wine is placed in french oak barrels of 225L.
The wine aged in oak barrels between 8 and 12 months before the Coupage and bottling. The wine is neither filtered nor clarified and each bottle evolves for a few months in the wine cellar before going to market.
