Village wines

The "Vins de Vila" (Villa Wines) delve into a classic concept in wine culture: the village wine - village or commune, as the French would say -, which assumes that in addition to a common tipicity , there are recognizable differences between wines made in different areas of the same designation of origin. It is the first time in Spain to go further the generic names to give a legal recognition to the names of the village in the label of the bottles. A terroir (known throughout the world with the French name of "terroir"), is a land with geological and geographic characteristics suitable for farming. The villa wine is that wine obtained from grapes from the vineyards belonging to the Designation of Origin Priorat and included within the same production area or villa.
