Muga Reserve Special Selection is a reserve red wine coupage of Tempranillo, Grenache, Carignan and Graciano.The 2016 vintage was classified as a very goog one and it was characterized by the great balance between acidity and alcoholic content. Great aromatic quality and excellent maturity.
TASTING NOTE
Garnet color and good density. On the nose, it's compelx with hints of ripe red and black fruits, black peper hints and a subtle creamy and smoked oak hint followed by notes of coffee and mint. Smooth and elegant entry on the palate with hints of ripe red fruits and spices. Powerful tannic structure and fresh acidity.
PREPARATION
Handmade harvest. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in oak barrels. Aged for 26 motnhs in French oak barrels. Before bottling, a clarification is done with fresh egg whites. Once bottled, a refining process is done for a minimun of 18 motnhs.
